On April 15th and 16th, 2010, the Energy and Climate Ministerial of the Americas was held in Washington, DC, USA. The event, organized by the U.S. Department of Energy took place at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on April 15th and at the Organization of American States (OAS) on April 16th. This two-day gathering of energy ministers from countries of the Americas is a key component of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas (ECPA), announced by the U.S Government during the Fifth Summit of the Americas held Trinidad and Tobago in 2009.
