A National Energy Policy (NEP) for the Government of Belize

The main objective of the Project is to propose a NEP for the Government of Belize. With the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada (DFAIT-Canada), this project is focused on the development of a base-line-scenario of the energy sector in Belize as the main pillar for the development of the NEP. This policy document identifies seven key areas to work with including energy efficiency, reduction in reliance on imported fuels, stability in energy supply, administration and dissemination of national energy data, measures to curb carbon dioxide and other emissions, efficient and effective delivery of energy and policy support to the energy sector. A comprehensive NEP is a tool to secure sustainable energy supply which is critical to the nation’s development. A strong and well-balanced NEP will allow the entire country to meet its basic energy needs in a sustainable manner and to support and improve the national economy. Agencia Chilena de Eficiencia Energética

The AChEE with collaboration and funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), has designed an oriented financial mechanism of Engineering (EI) and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) called Guarantee Fund for Energy Efficiency (FOGAEE). annual Report Annual Report 2012 you will find a detailed explanation of all relevant aspects of the work of the AChEE during the years of its existence. If you're interested in the work of the AChEE, here you can view annual reports.

Cool Roofs and Cool Pavements Toolkit

The Cool Roofs and Cool Pavements Toolkit, developed by the Global Cool Cities Alliance for members of the R20 Regions of Climate Action, is a primer on cool surfaces and an implementation guide.

ECPA presentation

The ECPA presentation is a glimpse about the Partnership. It will give the visitors a general idea about ECPA.

Toolkit designed to (1) Provide a broad diagnostic framework to identify a country’s potential energy sector challenges; (2) Illustrate the linkages between challenges and potential interventions; and (3) Provide bibliography to allow the user to explore direct links to papers, studies or reports illustrating the various interventions.

Global Cool Cities Alliance

Global Cool Cities Alliance is a non-profit dedicated to advancing policies and actions that increase the solar reflectance of our buildings and pavements as a low cost way to promote cool buildings, cool cities, and, most importantly, to mitigate the effects of climate change through global cooling. Their website has technical papers and guides you may find useful.

IPCC’s Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation

The Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) assesses existing literature on the future potential of renewable energy for the mitigation of climate change. It covers the six most important renewable energy technologies, as well as their integration into present and future energy systems. It also takes into consideration the environmental and social consequences associated with these technologies, the cost and strategies to overcome technical as well as non-technical obstacles to their application and diffusion.
